JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Director, Human Resources is directly responsible for the overall administration,coordination, and evaluation of the human resource function. This position manages all employees of the HR department, coordination of Global HR partners and is responsible for the hiring, performance management, development strategies of the employees. This is a hands-on position and will require the ability to roll up your sleeves to complete ongoing tasks and projects.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Participates in the development of the organization's global plans and programs as a strategic partner, bringing a business perspective as well as the perspective of the impact on people.Manages the staff of the human resource department. Responsible for the HR department budget as well as employee compensation budget.Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures the organization's compliance. Responsible for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.Maintains knowledge of international HR policies, programs, laws, and issues.Evaluates the organization's current people-related practices, programs and policies to identify opportunities for improvement. Continually assesses the competitiveness of all practices, programs, and policies against the relevant comparable companies, industries, and markets.Communicates changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed.Develops progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives, and rewards for effective performance.Supports staff recruitment and continuous development by implementing learning and development programs to ensure learning and skill development occurs regularly across all levels of the organization.Orchestrates the development of staffing strategies to identify talent within and outside the organization for positions of responsibility. Identifies appropriate and effective external sources for candidates for all levels within the organization.Evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as those items affect the attraction, motivation, development, and retention of the people resources of the organization.Develops and maintains a human resource information system that meets the organization's information needs. Provides necessary reports for critical analyses of the HR function and the people resources of the organization.Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation, and administration of the organization's wage and salary program.Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CEO, on personnel matters. Leverages external resources effectively when outside expertise is necessary.Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.Participates on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities.Develops and executes programs to educate employees on the optimal utilization of benefits.Directs external payroll and benefits partners in routine matters and in developing programs to optimize the value of employee insurance and 401k benefits.Required Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree and 10 to 15 years' related global experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in a Manufacturing environment is required.Previous HR management experiencePreferred Education and ExperienceMaster's degree.Previous experience working in a global manufacturing environment.SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional TravelTravel is primarily local during the business day, 25% domestic overnight travel to the other company locations is expected. Limited international travel may be required. Salary range 100,000 to 120,000 plus sizable bonus potential.
