The Corporate Safety Training Manager will lead a dedicated team of safety professionals to develop, maintain and administer relevant and consistent safety training/curriculum to employees across the company.
-Directs the implementation of corporate safety training programs aligned with the objectives and strategy of the company.
-Collaborates with functional management teams to assess ongoing and future training and development needs as well as effectiveness of established programs.
-Develops a program delivery schedule that provides training as needed.
-Provides engaging communications about program information to encourage participation and highlight the value and benefits of training.
-Oversees and establishes relationships with vendors to provide additional outside training programs that may be needed.
-Collaborate with the Learning and Development department along with other training initiatives throughout the company to ensure alignment and coordination.
-Coordinate Safety training across the company for different business locations
-Serve as the Corporate Subject Matter Expert on Safety Training
-Provide reports for training that still needs to be completed and work with senior managers to schedule most urgent needs
-Communicate to employees and managers via the Learning Management System for reminders
-Identify and assess training needs of staff by conferring with managers and supervisors or conducting surveys
-Utilize the Learning Management System and HCSS Skills to schedule, send reminders, monitor, and report training
-Produce, amend, and revise training materials for in-house courses as appropriate
-Create and present information, using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos and lectures
-Prepare a variety of written materials (e.g. reports, memos, letters, thank-you notes, name tags, sign-in sheets, class lists,etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information
-Research and develop courses, materials, training consultants, etc. that meet staff training needs.
-Travel 50% of time

-Strong oral and written communication skills, bilingual preferred
-Possess solid leadership abilities and be flexible
-4-year college degree desired; preferably in a safety or organizational development discipline.
-A minimum of 5 years in construction safety training experience
-Ability to develop and modify training materials to keep up with current standards, best practices and internal leading indicator trends.
-Must have OSHA 500
-Must be able to train on First Aid/CPR/AED and OSHA 10/30.
-Proven interpersonal, organizational and project management skills with ability to work independently, meet strict deadlines and drive change;
-Demonstrated ability to impact and influence employee behaviors at all levels of an organization.
-Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
-Proficient in MS Office Suite
-Team player with a professional image, capable of handling highly confidential information
